Spring is humming along here in the midwest — I hope you’re making some time to be outside with the birds and the blooms.

The main piece of news is that my collaborative record with friend and great musician/producer Will Miller, aka Resavoir, comes out on May 23rd on International Anthem. We’ve titled this record Horizon — trying to capture some of the beauty/mystery/ephemerality of the last moments of daylight. Two singles are already out, and I’m excited for you all to hear the project in full.

You can preorder LPs and CDs here (including a very cool “lake glass green” color LP).

We’re also excited to announce that we’ll be playing a record release show here in Chicago on June 21st at Constellation. Tickets/info available here.

If you’re late to the Storm Jameson train, I’d like to point you towards the record we released earlier this year, Roll On Buddy (Flood Music).

Speaking of Flood Music, we’ve got a freshly redesigned website going over at floodmusiclabel.com — I encourage you to put your ears on any of the twenty five releases up there. There’s a little label sampler playlist on the site as well, featuring one song from every release in the catalog.

A few upcoming shows this month as well:

5.15 w/ Greg Ward’s Rogue Parade @ Peoria Riverfront Museum (Peoria, IL): Rogue Parade plays in Greg’s hometown for their summer series at this beautiful museum.

5.16 w/ Sidepieces @ the Hungry Brain: I’ll be on telecaster duties for this monthly gig of country covers.

5.28 w/ Sun Speak @ Sleeping Village: That’s right! The duo will make a rare Chicago appearance on the patio, playing a few improvised sets. I’ll have some news very soon about new Sun Speak music coming out later this year, too.

6.5 w/ Greg Ward’s Rogue Parade @ the Hungry Brain: the first week of Greg’s June residency.

The paid section of this month’s Grapefruit Moon gets into a guitar reduction of “Miles Ahead,” and includes a playlist of some music I’ve been loving and think you’d love too. There are two editions of this newsletter I’ve made free to check out in case you’re curious about what kinds of things are going on beyond yon paywall and considering signing up…Thanks as always for being here and hope to see you in the real world soon.
